This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. Connecticut Warrant Records does not have access to PRAWN, court files, police service systems, or the Department of Motor Vehicles. We cannot confirm a warrant, withdraw one, post bond, arrange surrender, or give legal advice. Contact the Superior Court and responsible police agency for official status.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Route the question to the office that holds the record or can decide the next step:
- Whether a state warrant exists: the public Judicial Branch Arrest Warrants page is limited and currently says FTA warrants will not be displayed until further notice. Use the court directory to locate the assigned GA/JD Clerk’s Office, then ask the responsible local police or CSP agency about service status.
- A missed court date or bench warrant: contact the Superior Court location handling the case. Connecticut has no separate municipal or JP criminal court. VOP matters may also require the assigned Adult Probation or Court Support Services contact.
- A family-support capias: ask the Family Support Magistrate or Superior Court family clerk named in the order. Certain civil capias work uses the State Marshal Capias Unit, which is separate from ordinary criminal-warrant service.
- Resolving a warrant: ask the issuing court what motion, appearance, release condition, or other action applies. A Connecticut attorney can advise about the individual case; local police/CSP can confirm their service record.
- A ticket or license suspension: use the CIB ticket lookup and Superior Court for the ticket, then DMV for driver-license status. A DMV suspension is not a warrant record, and a DMV payment cannot recall court process.
- A State Police report copy: DESPP Reports and Records accepts certain requests through GovQA and lists a $16 case-related search fee. That is a report-copy request, not a current warrant-status check.
- How public search works: the Warrant Check and Warrant Database pages explain the public tools, restricted agency systems, and their gaps.
The county, city, and town destinations in Browse Counties can help identify a geographic route. They do not mark 27 criminal jurisdictions. A case follows the municipality, assigned Superior Court location, and responsible police or State Police agency. No county sheriff warrant desk or one statewide public confirmation line exists.
